The last time I had a pottery class there was a night that I came in all fired up, ready to take care of business… and discovered I couldn't throw at all.
Yesterday was the corresponding session in my current course.
Pot after pot fell apart under my hands. It sheared off as I was collaring it; it twisted as I pulled; it had wildly variable rim thicknesses; it splayed out at the mouth and tore. Etc.
I seriously considered walking out halfwaay through because I was feeling so low about it. But I didn't and I'm glad because that would've been a poor decision and embarassing.

- Don't embarass yourself by rage-quitting.
- It's possible to salvage things.
- Bigger bits of clay seem harder to deal with.
- Maybe go slower?
Overall: BAD
