Garnet pottery 1.5

This lesson, usually the least popular, apparently, had us putting handles on our cylinders to form mugs.

It was fine. I was in an absilutely foul mood because of a family argument earlier in the day, so my perception was slightly skewed.

I didn't screw it all up and come away feeling worse, thankfully, but nor was it a zen-like experience that restored my equilibrium.

Handles are a time-consuming business, it turns out, so it wasn't possible to get them all done, but that was fine since most of my pots have come out incredibly thick and heavy and I couldn't imagine them as mugs anyway.

Here are the ones that made the cut.

Five unfired cups of varying size and quality upside down on a board.

Looking at this picture, I'm hopeful that maybe two of these will come out as satisfying pieces… that I can ruin in the glazing stage next week 😅

Overall: OK
