Sticky jasmine rice

Like every bloody thing in life there's a million different things online telling you how to cook rice the way you like.

I think this is the advice I took that worked out well.

2 people1 cup / 190g 1 â…“ cup / 330ml
4 people2 cups / 380g2 ¾ cup / 660ml
6 people3 cups / 570g4 ¼ cup / 990ml
I hate these ratios btw. Surely they can be fudged into something more memorable.

Method

  1. Using the above measurements, bring the water to the boil with rice, keeping the lid off.

  2. Once it has reached a boil, put a lid on and turn the heat to the lowest setting.

  3. Put the timer on for 8 minutes. Do not open the lid.

  4. After 8 minutes, turn the heat off, remove the lid.

  5. Fluff.
